The Cultivation Trainer is primarily responsible for the effective training of all new Cultivation Team Members prior to their start date at a cultivation facility. The Cultivation Trainer creates cornerstone content, online trainings, and coordinates with Training Manager regarding new policies and procedures or new products and services. It is the responsibility of the Cultivation Trainer to work with other departments to ensure a unified message is delivered across the company.  The Cultivation Trainer conducts all Team Member trainings at the corporate office with an emphasis on building a strong company culture, identifying skills and opportunities for development.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and updating all training materials used in Cultivation training
  • Supports all Cultivation positions training and development
  • Coordinates with Training Manager, and stakeholders for creation and implementation of new policies and procedures as well as new products and services
  • Oversees training progress in Cultivation Team Members by conducting location visits and follow up with ongoing training
  • Creates content, online training and tests for Cultivation Team Members through cornerstone
  • Conducts all Cultivation Team Member training
  • Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards; promote integrity
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain a highly skilled workforce
  • All other administrative tasks and job duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field required


  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management

Required Skills & Experience

  • Approximately 1 – 3 years of relevant training experience
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, speaking and reasoning skills
  • Leadership ability to manage large teams, cross functional influence
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with current versions
  • Familiarity with word processing, design, database, point-of-sales, and web-based software applications

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge and use of an LMS, Cornerstone LMS experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to task prioritize with shifting workload in a fast-paced office environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office features
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate
