We are seeking an Account Executive, Sponsored Content to work in our Content/Sales departments located in Los Angeles, CA or Seattle, WA.

As an Account Executive for Leafly.com, you will have the unique opportunity to play an integral role in the sale of sponsored and branded content to clients in the cannabis industry. You will have a deep understanding of sponsored content sales, and understand how to sell content, media and advertising solutions to clients.

You are a digital native, with a track record of selling tailored content solutions to clients. You can sell the underlying premise of sponsored content: that it is a longer-term brand play; that is offers higher engagement than traditional advertising; and that it offers an unparalleled opportunity for brands in the new media world.

This position requires a self-starter who is energetic and highly-motivated, relentless in their pursuit of excellence, and who wants to join a fun and dynamic team in a rapidly-growing industry.

What you will do:

•Exceed assigned revenue quota on a weekly basis.
•Drive revenue and market share in a defined subject matter to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets.
•Identify target prospects and generate interest through cold calling.
•Sell content sponsorships into existing branded content opportunities created by our industry-leading content and media team.
•Close new business and increase revenue from existing clients.
•Utilize data and analytics in order to prove out ROI for clients and upsell to longer, more integrated sponsored products.
•Work closely with the Media Sales Strategist and Managing Editor to develop and execute against a sales and product plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline.
•Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new services and content sales strategies.
•Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
•Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
•Maintain expert industry knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
•Participate in evening and weekend promotions and assist with special events as needed.
•Complete daily account visit reports, monthly expense reports and other surveys and reports as required.
•Travel within your designated territory is expected.

What makes you a great fit for the role?

•You are passionate about sales and have the drive to exceed revenue targets.
•You have 2-5 years of successful sponsored content sales experience, preferably with a major digital media organization.
•You use a consultative, solution based sales methodology and have documented success achieving and exceeding assigned quotas.
•You love to prospect and are a skilled negotiator and closer.
•You display passion for and responsibility to the customer.
•You exhibit excellent judgment and possesses relentlessly high standards.
•You are a whiz with Salesforce.com CRM or other CRM systems
•You have a solid grasp of the industry, but more importantly, understand the huge opportunity on offer here and are ready to take advantage of it.
•Background check will be conducted after conditional offer of employment is extended.
