Cannabis Review

Already known for potent shatters, Gold Drop now also offers disposable 510 thread vape pen cartridges that feature their golden extracts. These super-slim vape pens have been growing in popularity and most large extractors are getting in on the market.

For our review, we were given Gold Drop’s Trainwreck vape pen. A classic strain that doesn’t come around dispensary shelves enough, it is nice to see it here in this ultra-portable pen. I immediately found hits of Gold Drop’s vape to be easy and smooth, with no irritation in the throat. The vapor was sweet with hints of lemon and a woody pine. Although not dab sized, I was getting surprising clouds from Gold Drop’s oil.

As mentioned above, Trainwreck is one of those highs that just isn’t available as much as you’d like. Trainwreck carries a sativa lean thanks to Mexican and Thai landrace sativas. To balance these cerebral genetics, Trainwreck adds the ever popular weighty Afghani indica.

Far too many strains get labeled euphoric by lazy reviewers (I’m guilty myself). But there is an absolute euphoria to Trainwreck’s high. Happiness abounds, leading to a more open and engaged outlook toward the world. Creative thinking is enhanced, and a jaunt around the museum might be appropriate, as would a first date or an educational seminar.

I found this happy rush best used for working. Lame, I know. But as a writer, the tilted thought process opens avenues previously barred, allowing for a more open engagement with my topic. The high THC content makes Trainwreck effective for depression, while the Afghani grounds it for anti-pain and anxiety effects.  At high doses or during long sessions, it can begin to slow you down, and a delightfully spacey couch-lock might be inevitable.

From the people who bring you your favorite pre-rolled tarantula joints comes a pure, versatile way to get your medical marijuana. Ganja Gold’s new honey oil is extracted using an FDA approved iso-hexane extraction, considered much safer than some other solvents. The oil is then put through an additional purification process to ensure you are getting the cleanest oil possible.  There are no additives and the oil is in no way adulterated to alter its consistency.

The golden oil comes in an easy to dispense syringe. The premarked syringe also helps with measuring out your doses when on a specific routine. Our review sample was lab tested at 60% THC.  While not on the extreme side in potency, it is much higher than typical flower and even some pre-filled vape pens.

Ganja Gold’s oil has already been decarboxylated, making it a versatile product that can fill several roles. You can use the oil to bake with, crafting personalized edibles to fit your needs. You can also add the oil to joints and blunts when you smoke to enhance your high, and the oil works well dripped onto an atomizer in your vape pen. However, we found the most use out of it dabbed on our rig.

Each syringe is filled with strain specific oils, which helps patients who have a proven favorite strain for their ailments. For our review, we tried Ganja Gold’s SFV OG. A phenotype of the classic OG Kush, the SFV OG cut is said to be a more upbeat, sativa like version of OG Kush’s endless relaxation. What you are left with then is a stress relieving strain that keeps you moving all day long, perfect for weekend days out enjoying the California sun.

Guild Extracts GSC

Guild Extracts blasted onto our radar earlier this year when we caught them blowing Cannabis Cup attendees away with their incredible extracts. Eager to get our hands on some ourselves, we approached the company and talked about the science behind their work putting out extracts like high potency crystallized THC and CBD and their HTE (high terpene extracts).

The first thing you notice about Guild’s HTE is that it’s real oily, with a wet sap like consistency. The second thing you notice is just how terpy this extract really is. Like taking a dab of pure flavor, pure Girl Scout Cookies flavor no less, the complexities of the strain’s features start to become clearer.

Although a lower potency than some of Guild’s more mind blowing offerings, the joy here is the overwhelming taste profile. To get stronger dabs, we had fun mixing the HTE with other extracts to blend flavors. We also put it use with Guild Extracts’ crystalline THC-A to add flavor to potency. (It also helped to have something sticky for the THC crystals to hold onto.)

When dabbed alone, our Girl Scout Cookies HTE had a subtle high of its own. Mild but recognizable, the GSC’s complete mind and body high leads to a state of pure euphoria, that place where everything is right in the world and you are completely comfortable. Yoga in a tasty dab? Now there’s transcendence.

Flurish Watermelon Gummies Edible Review by OCWeedReview.Com

We have been eying the Flurish line of edibles for a review for some time now: seeing them pop up in all the shops and visiting their booths at all the shows. So when we finally got our hands on a couple of packs, we set right to work.

Flurish gummi edibles come in a range of summery fruit flavors, including pineapple, mango, and sour apple. For my review, I had the watermelon, which has remained my favorite after trying them all, though I’ve been pleased with every flavor.

The delicious soft gummies are sugary sweet and flavorful, yet just 27 calories per serving. As a certified gummi bear addict, I have to say these Flurish are really something. Buttery soft in texture and available in four flavors to keep from getting bored. The real challenge for me was not overdosing due to their irresistible texture and flavor.

It is a good thing I refrained. At 150 mg of THC for the whole box, there is potency to spare. Each piece is a more manageable 37.5 mg per piece. Thanks to testing through SC Labs, you can trust the consistency of Flurish edibles. Each box comes with 4 conveniently sized gummi pyramids. The are small enough to be discreet but large enough to break into smaller servings if necessary.

Our test box said it was a sativa/indica hybrid, and the perfectly rounded high attested to that. Most patients these days look for this balanced hybrid effect, capitalizing on the fullest range of medicinal effects

The high comes on slowly, as most edibles do, and the earliest measurable effects arrived almost an hour after eating. However, after a couple hours, the full force of the edible is felt, giving hours of relief. Comforting without knocking you out, and heady without the paranoia, these hybrid watermelon Flurish hit every need throughout my day for a perfect medicating experience.

HNH Rocks from Hand n Hand Patient Care Review – OCWeedReview.Com

Moonrocks have taken the California cannabis market by storm the last few years, as the industry searches for ever more inventive ways to up the potency factor of marijuana.

Like the turducken of marijuana, moonrocks layer incredible ingredients for an unmistakable experience. Hand n Hand Patient Care offers their own custom made moonrocks called HNH Rocks with strain specific bud, wax, and kief for unique combinations found nowhere else. HNH Rocks start with buds of HNHPC’s top shelf flower, which are then coated in oil and rolled in kief to complete the effect. Once cured, these dense nuggets pack a dark matter like weight into the tiniest bowls. You are sure to embarrass every other bag at the sesh when you pulls these out.

Moonrocks, as a general rule, are a bit tricky to work with. Sticky and tight, breaking them up by hand can be difficult. Scissors or a knife or even a steel grinder makes things a whole lot easier. Your bowl will smolder after a hit, so it’s best to try to cash it in one rip. We primarily smoked HNH Rocks out of our bong to help facilitate large hits. But they also aren’t bad blended with other flower and thrown into a joint or a blunt for an enhanced smoke.

Some of the most potent buds available, moonrocks are best for kept for experienced smokers, but anyone can smoke them responsibly if they are aware of the potency. Moonrocks provide a strong high, heavy and thorough, that is felt throughout the body. As the strains change with each batch, keep an eye on the HNHPC Weedmaps menu to see what they have in stock.

HNH Rocks are available exclusively at Hand n Hand Patient Care.

Warm and Crispy Infused Oil Review by OCWeedReview.Com

We have come across several mainstream edibles brands that have recently decided to start selling their infused olive or coconut oils, slapping labels on the same oils they use to manufacture their edibles. However, this raises up an important question: why would you cook your oil, lowering its potency?

Warm and Crispy is decidedly different. Instead of being conceived as a way to bake edibles at home, Warm and Crispy infused coconut oil is the edible, meant to be taken by itself. It can also be easily drizzled onto waffles or pancakes, added to salads, or blended into a smoothie, just for a start. Simply warm the coconut oil until you can shake it up and pour it easily, then add it to your favorite food or consume it straight from the spoon.

Not only is this a convenient means of dosing, but coconut oil is also full of healthy medium-chain fatty acids, making this a dietary supplement in its own right. Sunflower lecithin is used here as a natural emulsifier. Combined, this triple shot of cannabinoids, coconut oil, andsunflower lecithin is an impressive boost to brain health.

Warm-and-Crispy-Jack-2

Warm and Crispy infused coconut oil comes in 1 oz glass jars, containing 90 mg of THC each. The suggested serving size is a manageable 1 teaspoon, which is a 15 mg dose. As with most of our favorite edibles, the packaging is carefully thought out and informative almost to a fault, just like we want it. And like the best brands, Warm and Crispy tests to ensure consistency in their dosing numbers.

Each batch of Warm and Crispy is strain specific, with available strains rotating to take in the best of the local harvests. Using only top shelf buds when infusing their oil, Warm and Crispy is the nug run of infused coconut oils.

We got to try Jack Herer for our review, and I put this hard working sativa to task as part of my morning routine, mixed in with my breakfast or taken alone. By the time I was midway through my morning, it had taken full effect, and I was flitting happily through my day. A genuinely enjoyable strain, Jack is touted for its euphoric mood elevation and unparalleled creative inspiration, excellent for someone who writes for long blocks at a time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time field testing Warm and Crispy infused coconut oil. Give it a try today for a unique new twist on taking your medication. Head over to the Warm and Crispy website to learn more or to find Warm and Crispy infused oils near you.

From The Earth Deadpool OG Review by OCWeedReview.Com

Ever wonder who grows your medicine or how much your budtender really knows about the strains they are suggesting?  Well, in the case of From The Earth’s Deadpool OG, the details will please you.  Expertly grown by one of From The Earth’s expert budtenders, this classicOG Kush cut is meticulously cultivated for a fully defined OG experience.

Named after everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed Marvel assassin, Deadpool OG isn’t a genetically affected hybrid or a fancy OG cut given an unnecessarily complicated backstory.  Instead, Deadpool OG is is just a carefully grown natural OG.  This care includes specific attentions to detail, such as adding lemon juice to the soil to balance the ph and help ensure the flowering plants uptake the nutrients needed to grow to their fullest.

Because it is so scrupulously grown, the individual characteristics of this plant are all the more pronounced.  The bud’s dark forest greenery contains no shortage of trichomes across its surface.  The nuggets are dense and conical, like bushy xmas trees.  But then they break up chunky and sticky like a lemony sativa.  Surprisingly sticky, actually.  And fragrant.  Leaving the fingers tacky and odorous.  The piney lemon of classic OGs is strong in the scent profile, but I also picked up plenty of myrcene as a dominant terpene with hints of hops and lemongrass.

Deadpool OG is an absolute cure for stress and anxiety — a vacation day in a pop top.  The wellbeing generated by this high is second to none and shows what made OG Kush popular in the first place. It is obviously listed as indica dominant (high levels of myrcene can be sedating) but don’t be surprised if it feels energetic at first before settling into an all over comfortable feeling.  A top of the line OG in my book, like Deadpool, it has superhuman healing abilities: specifically, its capacity for decimating anxiety and tension held in the muscles and joints.

o Whom It May from The Art of Edibles is the epitome of high class edibles. We were first introduced to the brand through their advertising, which was unlike anything the cannabis world has had to offer thus far. Left salivating, we couldn’t wait to get our palates on these delectable treats.

The Art of Edibles brand exists on two principles. Edibles should be accessible, and edibles should be tasty.

To accomplish the first, To Whom It May edibles are available in four potencies:  2 ½ mg, 5 mg, 15 mg,  and 45 mg. With such a range of potencies, these edibles fit almost everyone’s tolerance levels.

Beginners, especially, will like the fact that they can precisely dose with the single digit potencies. With 5-10 mg being the threshold for psychoactivity in most patients, you can delicately balance your effects. Although geared heavily on the low end, even moderate dose patients can get in on the game with the 45 mg chocolates.

The second principle is achieved with four amazing flavors, each as delicious as the last.

Vivienne is a gorgeously tart and bitter bon bon style chocolate due to the combination of unsweetened cherries and red wine. This is balanced by dark chocolate and sweetened just slightly by honey. Then, after the complexity of it all settles, there is a fiery finish from the cayenne pepper.

To Whom It May Artisan Chocolate Review

I followed the unexpected spiciness of Vivienne with Zak, a nutty and chocolate concoction. A truffle style treat, Zak has a sweet, nutty flavor, creating a complex combination that is integrated so well, it tastes simple. Only after letting the flavors settle does the house-made, maple-smoked almond butter, raw honey, and roasted almonds truly start to manifest against the chocolate.

To Whom It May Artisan Chocolate Review

Myra brings back the filled bon bon style. Dark chocolate is filled with rich brandy, raw honey, and roasted hazelnuts. The brandy makes for a rich, fruity kick among the sweet honey and cocoa.  Crunchy from the nuts, the brandy dominates the aftertaste as well.

Finally, we finished with Ralph, a rolled truffle featuring house-made hazelnut butter, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, raw honey, and hazelnuts. Rather than being the dense chocolate I expected, Ralph was surprisingly light and crispy with a strong roasted flavor. A delicate balance of creamy butter, chocolate, and smokey nut.

Looking back over my notes, I see a certain zen poetry to each edible. They are simple, but complicated. Obvious, but nuanced. Each bite reveals something hidden, and as far as I could tell, there was no change in taste with potency, which is a pretty impressive feat for any edible company.

Fine chocolates indeed, these artisan treats will impress anyone you present them to. They come packaged in a sharply designed box of 4, 8, or 24, making them fantastic to share among friends or gift to someone special. Personally, I chose to horde all the goodness for myself, and you won’t be judged if you do the same.

Zuma Chocolates Edible Review by OCWeedReview.Com

More and more skilled chefs, bakers, and chocolatiers are getting into the edible business, infusing a stunning range of delicious foods with cannabis, as is the case here with Zuma Chocolates’ lovingly crafted truffles from chef Sam Christopher.  An award winning expert in chocolates and desserts, Sam brings 20 years of experience to creating the recipes for Zuma Chocolates in his quest to make a higher plane of edible.

Zuma Chocolates Edible Review

The boxed set of infused chocolates we received to review contained an assortment of three different flavors among five total pieces.  Each edible had its own personality and taste profile, leaving patients with plenty of tempting variety in their medicating choices.

Coconut White Chocolate with Brownie Chunks: This first truffle of the set contains a creamy white chocolate filling, enhanced with shredded coconut.  The brownie chunk is totally unexpected when you bite into one and shows Zuma’s playfulness in flavors and textures when crafting these edibles.

Peanut Butter and Pecan Pie: A golden dusting across the outer milk chocolate invites you to indulge in this rich and buttery treat.  Velvety in the mouth and nutty against the tongue, it pairs very well with either a glass of milk or a cup of coffee, both of which play off the fluffy peanut butter flavor.

Orange Passion Fruit Chocolate Martini Bon Bon: A refreshingly citrus flavor exists under this galaxy patinaed bon bon.  When you first bite into the edible, the outer dark chocolate and inner fruit filling intermingle in a burst of flavor, while the more subtle flavors like the orange vodka continue to fuse well into the aftertaste, making this our favorite flavor in the box.

Zuma Chocolates Edible Review

Each artisanal truffle contains 20 mg of THC, a bit strong for some beginners, but a good start for more seasoned patients.  These chocolates are as decadent a way to medicate as I’ve experienced.  The melt in the mouth texture encourages a faster uptake and leaves the flavors to mingle along your tastebuds.  I was torn with every bite between the desire to savor each truffle and the desire to devour them all.  In the end, I split the box among 3 uneven servings, for a mild, relaxing high each time.

Whether purchased as a gift, for yourself, or to share with a loved one, these artisan cannabis infused chocolates are a beautiful way to treat someone important to you to a day of wellbeing, even if that person is just yourself.

Kazili Pipe from Piece Maker Gear Review by OCWeedReview.Com

There are two types of people who benefit from a pipe like the Kazili from Piece Maker Gear.  The first are active types who will gain from its portability and sealable top.  The second are klutzes and the forgetful, like myself.  I’ve lost more pipes than I would care to admit due to the basic forces of gravity, slipping from hands and laps alike.

Piece Maker Gear is the solution for both these demographics with their line of Kazili silicone pipes.   The flexible silicone, as well as the stainless steel, is food grade and safe for regular use.  I wasn’t surprised when I made quick use of the Kazili while out on the trails and down the beach.  The small size and light weight made it extremely portable, while the malleable materials took away fears of breaking it.  However, I didn’t expect that I’d use it at home, too, for the same reasons.  The Kazili fits comfortably in the hand and the lap, and you don’t need to worry about it dropping from either one.

These pipes have a number of key characteristics that increase our view of them.  The well designed Kazili sports a large, rectangular mouthpiece for ample airflow, while the smartly placed carb hole gives control to the forefinger. I got plenty of use out of the bottle cap lid, which makes it easy to pack your bowl ahead for smoking later.  High marks for durability means you can give it the rough treatment, both in transit and in use, and it will live to session another day.  Cleaning is a snap.  The bowl is removable and the silicone just needs a quick scrub with soapy water, adding to its overall convenience.

The Kazili comes in 9 different colors, including a rasta tie-dye, to fit your personality and is further customizable with printed images available on the stem and top.

Kaneh Co Chocolate Chip Cookie Review by OCWeedReview.Com

A new line of cannabis baked goods has been finding its way into the coolers and fridges of Orange County dispensaries, and it’s high time we reviewed them for our readers.  Kaneh Co. produces a range of edible potencies in a list of over 20 flavors, meaning that there is likely a favorite Kaneh Co flavor out there for you, but for this review, we were lucky enough to try their chocolate chip cookie.

Kaneh Co. bakes a large, flat cookie, just like it was fresh from your grandma’s cookie jar.  There are no fancy bells and whistles, just a basic but enticing chocolate chip cookie.  Much of this is due to Kaneh Co.’s use of natural, made-at-home ingredients, like eggs, butter, brown sugar, and vanilla.  Light and airy, patients needing the full potency will find it easy to complete in a single sitting.

For our review, we tested the 100 mg cookie.  However, stronger potencies are also available in Kaneh Co. edibles, ranging all the way up to 1000 mg.  Although clearly aimed at the high dose user, the relatively large size of the Kaneh Co. edibles means that the 100 mg versions can effortlessly be split into smaller doses for those new to edibles and unsure of their baseline potency.

I had my sample cookie early in the evening after a long day of work.  Physically and mentally fatigued, the Kaneh Co. chocolate chip cookie hit me with a strong, stoney high.  Physically relaxing and mentally distracting, it provided all the effects I needed after a high stress afternoon.  Paired with a favorite TV show, video game, or hobby, this is the way to unwind and end your busier days.  Just don’t forget a glass of ice cold milk in which dunk your cookie.

Scoobie Dewbie Snacks from Incredibles Medibles Review by OCWeedReview.Com

It became painfully obvious, as we eventually grew up, that Shaggy and Scooby were potheads, and much like myself, they really aren’t fooling anyone.  Really, it is little wonder they were always so hungry for sandwiches.  So in appropriate fashion for these icons of marijuana, Incredibles Medibles has named one of their most addictive and satisfying edibles after everyone’s favorite stoner dog with their Scoobie Dewbie Snacks.

From out of the masses of overly sweet cannabis edibles comes an enjoyably different savory snack, saving my poor teeth from yet another sugary edible.  Starting with a base of standard hard pretzel bites, Incredibles Medibles adds their own cannabis oil and an infusion of dried garlic and an herbally blend of spice.  The taste of these Scoobie Dewbie Snacks continued to grow on me over the course of my test, and by the end, plain hard pretzels were forever ruined by this delicious flavor variant.

As with all Incredibles Medibles products, each pack of Scoobie Dewbie Snacks includes 160 mg of THC, more than enough for most patients.  Perfect as a munchable, each pretzel is low dose, meaning you can nosh your way through quite a few to achieve a moderate level.  But watch out: together and over time, it can add up to a torrent of potency that leaves you more medicated than originally intended.  Prevent this by portioning your doses ahead of time.

Scoobie Dewbie Snacks are a fine compliment to an evening entertaining guests, assuming no one eats too many, and can easily be mixed with other Incredibles Medibles savory edibles to make a tasty party mix.  Afraid of over medicating your guests, cut the infused pretzels with some non-medicated cheeze-its or Combos to increase munchability.  Whether enjoyed alone or with company, Scoobie Dewbie Snacks are a variable dose savory edible to fit your specific needs.

Find more information on this and other Incredibles Medibles products by visiting their website.
